The Sunshine Factor

where sunshine is a way of life

NaPoWriMo #26

Time goes by faster and faster now

and life doesn’t slow down either

Take time to laugh and sing and dance and dream

really relish the life you’ve been given

Sure, bad things happen
and people and our pets die
this is a part of life we never want to see
but death, too, has its place

Time goes faster than we would like
and our lives don’t slow down either
Make it a reminder for yourself
that going forward, you will really live as you live

I am an optimistic, positive person who is a seven year cancer survivor. Since that time I have learned that getting a cancer diagnosis does not always mean an automatic death sentence. I like to share my hope with others and continue to encourage them - no matter who they are or what they need encouragement for. I write poems, prayers, articles, and stories. Recently the premiere issue of my online magazine, launched. Thank you for visiting!

  1. Jonathan – so happy to hear your wife is 19 years free – I think I should either get in touch with her or read her guest post on your blog. 🙂 I’m sure she has a lot to say, as do I (as you can tell!). I’m glad if I can give a testimony, bless you right back! I must say I am thankful for the cancer I had because it taught me some awesome things I might not have learned otherwise. Glad you are blogging to0!

  2. CANCER SURVIVER DITTOES…to coin a phrase. Actually, my wife is 19 years free of uterine cancer and the doctors caught in time one pre-cancerous polyp that had not gone any further. Bless you for your testimony and blogging! 🙂
