Quote Series Day 5

“My house was clean yesterday — sorry you missed it!”

I used to have this saying hanging on the wall.  It reminds me now that I always wanted to have my house perfect  – what a pipe dream!  Now I just laugh at myself because I know there is not going to be someone waving a magical wand over me and my housekeeping (which actually, come to think of it, is good enough for two imperfect people and two awesome cats!).

I am an optimistic, positive person who is a seven year cancer survivor. Since that time I have learned that getting a cancer diagnosis does not always mean an automatic death sentence. I like to share my hope with others and continue to encourage them - no matter who they are or what they need encouragement for. I write poems, prayers, articles, and stories. Recently the premiere issue of my online magazine, http://www.innersunshine.net launched. Thank you for visiting!

  1. My house is liveable. It’s clean even if it’s not always as ‘neat as a pin.’ Do I want a display home? No. I want a home that’s comfortable. Where my friends feel free to kick off their shoes, put their feet on the sofa (if I had a sofa of course) and not worry if they happen to spill a cup of coffee.
