I must admit
here again I sit
writing on a whim
early morning with my eyes still dim

Usually I write posts a week at a time
and oh, the good feeling I get is sublime
Last weekend I was very busy
enough to make a girl dizzy

Sugar is a thing of my past
it wasn’t helping me
I want my good health to last
Sugar, get out of my system, is my plea

So now without sugar I’m sort of in a daze
let’s see if I can make it through this haze
I need to come awake
and write something good for your sake

Thank you for still reading my blog
even if, like today, I am in a fog

I am an optimistic, positive person who is a seven year cancer survivor. Since that time I have learned that getting a cancer diagnosis does not always mean an automatic death sentence. I like to share my hope with others and continue to encourage them - no matter who they are or what they need encouragement for. I write poems, prayers, articles, and stories. Recently the premiere issue of my online magazine, http://www.innersunshine.net launched. Thank you for visiting!
